Welcome to Ngor Okpala Peoples’ Congress – Washington, DC Maryland and Virginia website! NOPC is a non-profit organization incorprated in the state of Maryland.

Preamble:

We, the people of Ngor-Okpala local government area of Imo State, Nigeria, residing in the States of Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia, recognizing the need for support, economic empowerment, peace, unity, and promotion of our cultural heritage, do hereby congregate to establish a forum that shall provide assistance to our families here and in Nigeria. We, therefore agree to create a document known as the Ngor-Okpala Constitution that will be a guide for our deliberations, peace, and unity of purpose for our posterity here in the United States of America.

Aim and Objective:

  • To promote peace, unity, and support among the members..
  • To promote our tradition and culture among our children and to others that show genuine interest for our culture..
  • To work cooperatively with others who have common ideals with us for the enhancement and enrichment of our heritage
